I wanted my bridesmaids to all wear the same color, but for the styles of the dressed to vary slightly for each of my 5 girls. Before coming to White Swan, I was only able to find this option in the very high priced exclusive dress shops. But, White Swan was able to follow my instructions and pictures and create the dressed I wanted at an extremely reasonable price – in fact, I have yet to find anyone who can do it for less! Dear Lyudmila, I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the beautiful work you did on my bridal gown and the wonderful service I received every time I came to your store. White Swan Bridal was truly a dream come true in my search for the perfect wedding gown. The first time I came into the shop I was amazed by the huge selection you had and all of the different, original styles I saw displayed. I was not sure at all what kind of a dress I wanted and being able to try on such a wide variety of styles really helped me to narrow down my search. The fact that you make a lot of your own dressed and were willing to alter any of the designs to suite my taste convinced me that White Swan was definitely the place I wanted to purchase my gown. I did, in fact, end up ordering a custom made gown, which used the skirt and bodice of one of the dresses in your store, but wanted the top to look like a picture I found in a magazine. I showed you the picture and was astounded by the degree to which you replicated exactly, the top that I wanted. And even later, when I decided to change the straps again, it was no problem. Your only concern was that I was happy with the finished product, no matter what it took. My dress only took a couple of weeks to make and all the alterations were done in a matter of days. As a bride, that was very important to me because it meant one less thing to have to worry about. I knew my dress was in very good hands and that it would be done way ahead of time. And on top of all that, the prices at White Swan are so reasonable. I ended up paying less for a custom-made dress (and custom-made and designed detachable train) than I would have for a dress to be ordered and altered at another store. The professional service and beautiful dress that I received at White Swan was exceptional. I was also able to get all of my bridesmaids' dresses from White Swan and my mother is ordering her dress from White Swan as well. As you remember, I came to your shop with an idea for a dress in November. You listened to my idea, and were able to make a dress that was exactly what I dreamed of and better. The dress consists of a hand sewn corset style top, complimented by a full skirt. The fabric used on the dress include the finest quality silks, tulles and laces. The dress feels wonderful on as it is made to exactly fit my measurements. The most exquisite part of the dress is the corset on which reproductions of butterflies are embroidered across the front and back. The butterflies are hand-sewn with golden thread, and accented with pastel colored tulle through the wings. Tiny pastel flowers compliment lace around the bottom of the skirt. To tie the look together, the long European-style veil is accented with small, embroidered butterflies, as are the gloves. The dress you made is truly a couture gown, and at an affordable price. Most importantly, it is the wedding dress of my dreams! I can't wait to walk down the aisle in June! My fiancé will be thrilled when he sees the dress, as he calls me his "butterfly"! To the best of my knowledge, there is no other one-of-a-kind, custom design, European couture service of this type available in the Mid-Atlantic region, certainly not in a price range most of us can afford. Through my experience, I have found White Swan's Designer / Owner and creative genius, Lyudmila, to be industrious, honest and willing to donate her genius and beautiful creations for the benefit of worthwhile causes such as the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Through her business she is creating job opportunities for and training skilled craftsmen, sales people and other staff whom might otherwise have not had the opportunity. She is not taking someone else's job, she is making new ones, contributing to our communities tax base and economy. She is not unfairly cometing with other businesses, there are no others providing this unique combination of product and service. The demand for evening attire and bridal gowns in this metropolitan area has always been high. There are several black tie funcitons every month and in this small high society community, it is not uncommon to see the same gown design worn by different people during the evening. Every woman dreams of owning a one-of-a-kind design but very few have access to a designer even if they could afford it. Since I found the boutique a few months ago, I truly believe that the boutique, through its owner / desinger Lyudmila, is filling this void by its exclusive design approach. Lyudmila's designs won 1st Prize in European fashion shown and she now brings her talent to us. She is the artist behind each creation. She has designed several garments for me, each for a special purpose in mind. I am certain I will never see my ball gown worn by anyone else. I have shared my experience with others and now her clientele extends from this metropolitan erea to Europe. I was there when she delivered a wedding gown to be worn in England: a beautiful allover lace gown with a small train. I have seen a garden wedding gown design and the coordinatiing going away "pedal pusher" suit. Truly one-of-a-kind design that absolutely thrilled the client and her family. She is intimately involved with the juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Her participation in these charity events ranges from fashion shows and donating one of her own design. She recently desinged a ball gown for a live auction item that was the highlight of the evening.
